Description:

Lots of blood
White, brown, green makeup
Liquid latex skin
Torn clothing
A couple of sponges
A hairdryer
A sink to stand over, a mirror, and an old towel to cover your clothes.

Warning: Don’t get any of this stuff near your eyes. It’ll blind you good and proper. Make sure that the latex isn’t on any hairs, as you’ll be trying to remove it for days, and don’t wear hot clothes – your face is going to be a furnace, as your skin can’t breath. At the end of the night you’ll have a layer of sweat underneath the latex, and you can start to slide whole sections of your face about. This really upsets people if you do this at the same time as popping your ‘blood zits’ :o)

Step 1: Use your sponge to apply green and brown make up / paint to face, liberally. Have blotches of brown in some areas and blotches of green in others, for a varied rotting skin tone effect.

Step 2: Apply blood, liberally. Pour loads of it into your hair and let it drip down your face for a massive head wound effect.

Step 3: Apply more blood. You cannot have enough blood. Splash it all over your clothes. Give yourself cuts under the eyes, and make sure your nose has a good bloody base to build on. Add to your head wound – layers of dried blood onto top each other looks fantastic.

Step 4: Smear liquid latex on large patches of your face. Note: you cannot do this if you’re a bit hairy – it’ll be murder to take off. Create the foundation for what I lovingly call ‘blood zits’ – add large amounts of latex in areas where blood will stay for a while – somewhere that doesn’t crease up while you’re talking or laughing. The top of the nostrils, beneath your ears, and on the side of your neck are top places. Dry the latex with a hair drier.

Step 5: Time for more blood. Pick holes in your new rotting skin and open up areas big enough to pour blood into. Seal the holes with latex immediately, and dry quickly. You’ll have areas all over your face, ripened for popping! Get the sponge, and dab your latex / rot with more brown and green paint, interspersed with more blood. Make sure to let the blood trickle down your face, and dry again with a hair dryer.

Step 6: Squish and pull your new skin into lumpy shapes. Give yourself warts, and a big lumpy chin. Apply more blood and paint if needed. Repeat adding latex / blood / paint as many times as you like, to build up layers and layers of skin. Two or three layers are needed at least. Finally, add brown & warped teeth. You’re ready to scare children and eat their brains!
