Description:
This was Halloween 2007, when I was unemployed and living at home.
Always one to make the best of the situation, I recruited my mother (ace seamstress) and decided to pay homage to one of the things that had helped me along my road to ruin- Miller High Life.
We picked up a basic dress and blazer pattern from the local Wal-Mart and modified it accordingly. I also printed lots of High Life logos as t-shirt transfers and put them on the sash.
The hat was my favorite part, as it involved a sombrero, spray paint, craft paint, glitter, and faux flowers. I started in September, so all that fun had sufficient time to dry.
The boots were perfect and were already a long standing part of my wardrobe, I actually chose the dress and jacket fabric based on them. I wore the whole thing out on the town and drank only the High Life (when possible).
One of these days, I hope to recruit someone to dress as a giant crescent moon and carry me around. I think more people will get it then.
