o the lovely carousel - all the fun of the fair plus ponies. what could be better?

My partner Clementine and I made these using...

- A 3 hooped skirt underskirt ( easy to buy on ebay - just google weddings)
- Gold paint
- Coloured felt
- Red and White pipe cleaners
- Bright circus style material.
-Glue
-Red trimming

First paint your skirt gold - you can leave it white but as these things tend to be polyester it will be rather a ghastly colour.
While it is drying cut yourself out lots and lots of felt horses in different colours and twist the red and white pipe cleaners together to make carousel poles.
Once the skirt has dried, sew on the trimming around the bottom and the middle hoops.
Now you are ready to horse around. Get those ponies and glue or sew them in place so that they have a pole in the middle of them ( nearest to the skirt - the pony should be holding the pole in) and are racing around each of the bottom 2 sections of the skirt ( you should get about 8 ponies to a section) . To make sure the poles stay either stich or glue them to the trimming on the top and bottom.
Finally use your coloured material to make a pretty top section ( or just put more ponies here) . As you can see we liked the idea of corsets on top but you really could wear anything. Don't forget your Neighgligee!
