Description:

3 x pairs purple and black stripey tights from Ad Hoc or similar.
Decent pair of scissors.
Needle and thread (don’t worry, basic stitches only)
Black face paint/eye liner for whiskers and the blackned nose.
Cheshire cat grin essential.

Take the first pair of tights, step in as normal but pull up as high as they go (high waists in people, hip riders out).
Cut a hole through the crotch of the second pair and put arms up through the legs.
(Designer Sophie’s nice finishing touch was to then cut little holes for the fingers.)
Pull this second pair down to meet the top of the waist high tights.
Take the third, cut both the legs off so you’re left with a crotch and two stumps (nice). These two stumps are then sewed closed and stuffed with tissue. Pull crotch over the head and cut a hole for the face.
Of the remaining severed legs, take one, stuff, and use for a tail.
The remainaing leg… well… it can either be discarded or saved as a momento. Seeing as you are now the sexiest Cheshire cat ever, you’ll probably pull… and hence momento highly appropriate.
